Environmental law is a branch of the Law that touches both on Private and Public Law. Via private law it is protected by the provision of Civil Code and the provisions of neighbourhood law regarding the protection of personality.

With concerns Public Law, the need regarding the protection of the environment arises in every aspect of the individuals’ professional activity, whilst each professional activity requires the local environmental approval. Moreover, from a public law standpoint Environmental Law is linked with town planning, given that the rules that regulate same aim at protecting the environment. Lastly, this law encompasses the protection of more specific environmental issues such the problems relating to the coastline, forests and water (Landfills, Sanitary residue landfill, Uncontrolled dump sites and more).
